As we close out another NASCAR season, I get a little reflective over what I have seen and heard over the last year. My business is comprised of sound bites and quotes from the stars of our sport. I try to convey those bits and pieces of conversations to you in a way that is entertaining.

Pit Notes - Post Season -12-4-08
In an effort to keep you up to date on all of the latest news coming out of the sport, I will compile a list of the most interesting notes coming out of the garage area each week. These will be refreshed each week so that you will always be aware of what is happening in our sport.

The 47th running of the Rolex 24 Hour of Daytona takes place January 24-25th. Start time has been set for 3:30PM. Many new team/driver combinations will participate. FOX-54 will televise the start.

Augusta International Raceway
The Augusta International Speedway hosted the Grand National Series, now Nextel Cup Series, from 1962 to 1969. During that time span they ran 12 races with 8 different winners.

The New Gordon Park Speedway has been part of the rich history of motorsports throughout the CSRA since the gates were first opened in 1947.

American LeMans Series
The factory Porsche Spyder will not return in 2009 and Audi's new R15 will only enter Sebring. BMW comes aboard with two cars fielded by Rahal/Letterman Racing.
