It is hard for me to believe there is just a little more than 2 months and it will be 2011. The last couple of years have been a huge challenge to the board and I commend them on tightening the belt and doing as much as possible to keep us in the black.
I believe this year we may come out a little ahead because of their willingness to do this and Tom Sprecher, our treasurer, doing such a good job of monitoring our financial status on what feels like a daily basis. I thank each and every one of you for your concerns about our club and the leadership positions you have volunteered to take.
As for club activities, Atlanta Region had a great showing at the Solo Nationals in Lincoln Nebraska with 43 attending and 16 bringing home trophies (both record setting numbers). I understand that a great time was had by all and the region was recognized by name by Jeff Dehnert at the solo banquet.
The Double SARRC/Pro IT Races hosted by Alabama Region and Atlanta Region Labor Day weekend was a great success. I understand that everyone enjoyed themselves and the event continues to grow. Huge thanks to all the volunteers that made this event possible. We could not do it without you.
Our Annual ARRC Race will be November 5th – 7th. This event also continues to get better and better. Huge thanks to Butch Kummer and his committee for their constant brainstorm- ing and efforts to grow and change this event to be better for all participants.
Please visit our website often to keep up to date with what is happening in the region. I continue to try my best to lead the region in a positive direction and appreciate all the support from the board and members.
Best wishes to all,
Tere Pulliam
Regional Executive
